Sperry presenting at AREMA this month:
Dr. Mark Havira, Sperry Rail Service Director of Research and Development will be presenting an important technical paper entitled “Detection of Transverse Defects Under Surface Anomalies”. The presentation will address the importance of the issue to North American railroads with a focus on recent technology advancements to mitigate the risk. Dr. Havira collaborated with Mr. Jeff Boyle, Senior Engineering Manager at Sperry Rail in developing the presentation. Both the scientific theory and actual results achieved will be presented.
