Sperry Rail announced today that it has completed delivery of the latest rail flaw detection technologies to Union Pacific Railroad.
The products include Sperry’s proprietary 1900 Test System with advanced ultrasonic detection, as well as Sperry’s X-Fire technology with induction and vision systems.
Jamie O’Rourke, General Manager of Sperry, said “We are most pleased with the collaborative effort of the two companies, UP and Sperry, that resulted in a custom-designed vehicle platform fit for UP’s needs with core detection technology that we view as best-in-class.”
Along with detection capability, UP is implementing the full breadth of data acquisition and management services offered by Sperry including the Sperry Data Management System Portal.
