Detector Cars
We are continually developing new technologies deployed on our detector cars. Sperry provides a complete vehicle range to support the broad spectrum of testing needs of the world’s railways. Our vehicle platforms are equipped according to customers’ requirements with ultrasonic, induction, vision, GPS and other technologies.
Special Testing

We provide highly trained and dedicated personnel to perform special ultrasonic inspection. We specialize in switches, turnouts and mitre rail. This group can also be deployed to test plug rail to ensure rail is installed defect-free.
Data Management

The Sperry Data Management System is a robust, internally developed data management platform that allows customers to manage their rail flaw detection data and maintenance programs. Data tracking, business analysis and decision support are provided through a secure portal with 24/7 web access.
Service failure investigation

Our staff of analysts - the largest in the industry - and rail experts are available to investigate all matters related to rail integrity, including service failures. We diagnose, document and classify potential root causes and estimate rail flaw growth rates.
Personnel training and certification

We provide the industry’s most comprehensive training services to enable railroad workforces to keep up with the constant changes in rail flaw detection technology. As part of our training programs, we provide Ultrasonic Level I and II certification programs to our customers.
